Volunteer

Coastal Carolina Riverwatch is so thankful to have such an amazing base of volunteers, but the work is never done! Join us in making a difference in your community.

    • Cleanups– Several cleanups occur in both watersheds throughout the year. Some are on foot, some on kayaks, canoes, or power boats, and some are even miles offshore. • Membership Recruitment- Memberships are important financially, but even more so in building community alliances for clean water. Help us with outreach to strengthen this foundation.

    • Events and Fundraising – Assist in the planning and execution of events. Events include paddle trips, film screenings, tie-dying, poker runs, tree planting, Ocean Friendly Expos, and more!

    • Tabling– Work the information table at festivals and events throughout the watersheds. This may include simple outreach or short educational demonstrations.

    • Grant Writing – Do you have experience in grant writing, or want to learn? Let us know!

    • Water Quality Monitoring– Complete a water monitoring training. Assist in collecting samples and delivering them to labs.

    • Advocacy – Respond to action alerts. Write Letters to the Editor and submit public comments on current environmental issues.

    • Ocean Friendly Establishments– Recruit OFE’s and award them certificates.

Contact us with your area of interest, or any other skills you’d like to share!
