We actively patrol the area from land, on water, and in the air. We take water samples to verify water quality using qualified testing laboratories and our own EPA-approved equipment.
Being in the field allows us to look for impairments to waterways, both potential or realized threats. We are able to document pollution and provide scientific evidence for its presence. We use this information to inform the public of health risks, substantiate claims from impacted communities, inform community decision-making, and bring polluters into regulatory compliance. The more we know about our water quality, the more we are able to work towards solutions.
Parameters we test for:
E. coli
Dissolved oxygen, salinity, pH
Microplastics
DNA source tracking
PFAS
Phytoplankton
